A Cure in the Future is helping to make a difference!

In 2010, Canada will continue to see an increase in the number of individuals diagnosed with and dying from cancer. Every hour of every day, an average of 20 people will be diagnosed with some type of cancer and eight people will die from cancer. An estimated 173, 800 new cases of cancer and 76,200 deaths from cancer will occur in Canada in 2010. (Source: Canadian Cancer Society’s Steering Committee: Canadian Cancer Statistics 2010)

Toronto, Ontario November 18, 2010 — A Cure in the Future is an organization of dedicated members whose goal is to raise funds for The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation (PMHF), that supports research at Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) – Canada’s leading cancer research hospital. A Cure in the Future needs your help to achieve PMHF’s vision “To Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime”.

On Saturday February 19, 2011 we will be hosting our 5th annual “A Cure In The Future” Retro Gala at the Bellvue Manor, 8083 Jane St, in Vaughan. To date we have raised $200,000.00 for cancer research for PMHF. The gala is an evening where friends, business associates and the community come together for an enjoyable evening to raise funds for a great cause.

We are proud to welcome back Dina Pugliese from Breakfast Television as our MC for the evening, who is also looking forward to the event. “With so many charitable events happening year round and so little time, this is one I count on and always look forward to. So much so, I’m hosting for the fourth consecutive year!! A Cure in the Future grows in numbers, in donations and in spirit every single year…and is a gala I am proud to be a part of…it has all of the fun, food, fundraising, festivities and ultimately, spirit and hope one needs to make for a truly memorable and meaningful evening.”

The gala ticket includes Martini Bar, Antipasto Stations, Dinner, Open bar and a chance to win a 2010 Mini Cooper Classic, valued at $31,000.00. A live auction, raffle draw and the crowd pleasing gift bag sale will also be part of the evening’s events. Entertainment will be provided by Sensations Live Music and Platinum Entertainment Solutions.
